Our Story

Our Background

We were stablished in 1967 under the ownership of Masaka Diocese, Butende Brick Works began as a response to the region’s escalating demand for durable bricks essential for constructing schools and churches. Over the decades, our commitment has expanded beyond mere production, evolving into a cornerstone of community development. Beyond supplying essential building materials, we have become a vital economic engine, generating revenue to support pastoral and social programs.

Today, our operations have evolved to include robust environmental and social responsibility initiatives. We prioritize sustainability through extensive tree-planting programs aimed at preserving local ecosystems. Moreover, we actively foster inclusivity by offering meaningful employment opportunities to young people and women, empowering them to contribute positively to their communities.

At Butende Brick Works, our legacy is built not only on bricks but also on a dedication to fostering a sustainable and thriving community. Join us as we continue to innovate, enrich, and build for a brighter future.”
